Nathan S. Cooke, LCSW Therapist, Meditation Teacher, Owner

Greetings! I’m Nathan, and I’m genuinely excited about the opportunity to meet with you. With a Master of Social Work from West Virginia University and additional post-graduate work in Special Education from Radford University, I bring a solid educational foundation to my practice.

Over the past 20 years, I have been dedicated to assisting individuals of all ages—children, families, and adults—through various challenges such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, relationship struggles, and trauma. My experience has honed my skills and deepened my understanding of the complexities people face in their lives.

In my practice, I integrate the highly effective approaches of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Practice, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). These methods work together to bring present-moment awareness, reduce emotional distress, and support the reprocessing of difficult memories in a safe and structured way.

In addition to therapy, I am a proponent and leader of meditation. Meditation demonstrates how you can allow thoughts and feelings to come and go without causing significant pain and discomfort.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I cherish my role as a father to three incredible children. We share a profound love for nature, spending ample time exploring the captivating woods and serene creeks of Virginia, West Virginia and international adventures.

I am looking forward to getting to know you and working together to embark on a journey toward positive transformation and well-being.
